Prevent Injury & Release Stress

New classes release on Saturdays! This is a collection of what I call "recovery" practices. It includes a mix of meditative restorative yoga, deep stretching, mobility work and passive stretch (yin yoga) classes to help you wind down, relieve stress, prevent injury, melt tension and sore muscles. These are 10-45 min grounding practices to cultivate stillness, nourish yourself, and improve your recovery process.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need for these classes?
Generally a yoga mat or firm exercise mat is a basic thing to have. Many classes use yoga blocks and a yoga strap, too. Bolsters are large firm rectangular cushions for restorative yoga especially. If you don't have one, you can grab a long firm cushion off your couch! A thick blanket can be nice to have, also. Every class will need different things, make sure to check what's needed.
What some of the benefits of these classes?
Recovery is so important for injury prevention and stress management! Whether you're experiencing a lot of stress and tension in your life, or you're an athlete and super sore from your workouts, or you don't exercise much and you just want to keep your body mobile and feel good, these are for you!! Without rest and recovery, we burn out. If you're constantly on the go, I highly recommend doing one of these classes at least once a week.
What's the difference between mobility and stretching?
They are sometimes the same thing, but mobility is about creating more range of motion and smooth movement through a particular joint. We need to stretch to become more mobile, but some mobility work is about activation and strength at end range of motion. We need it all to move well and prevent injury.
